Hello!

I hope this finds you well.

As my profile on Psychology Today says, I am still not able to take new clients at this time..  I no longer offer a waitlist, as I recognize the ethical constraints this entails, and would rather you connect with someone who has more immediate availability..

With this is mind, please feel free to check back..  I will always respond to you.  And my availability/openings can change—which could potentially work for you, depending on your urgency and flexibility..

Thank you for your interest and your understanding,

Kate

Hi all!

I hope you are well.  Just a note that I am not accepting new clients at this time, but anticipate the potential for openings in the fall 2019.  If you are looking to connect about this (or consultation work—or just to say hi!), please don’t hesitate to reach out sooner and we can talk more..

Thank you and take good care!

Welcome to my new website and thank you for visiting!

In my clinical mental health counseling practice, my goal is to support you in cultivating mental health, connection, and wellness--honoring what this means to you and your individual process, experience, and time.

Whether it is:
  • Relationship/attachment issues--including intimacy, partnering issues, co-dependency, open relationships, infidelity issues, sexual dysfunction, family planning and infertility issues
  • Coping with traumatic events and/or history of childhood trauma (including sexual trauma), domestic violence/abuse
  • Family of origin issues, parenting, aging parents
  • Anxiety, panic, excessive worry
  • Depression and/or suicidal ideation, grief and loss
  • Anger issues
  • Obsessive/compulsive thoughts and behaviors
  • Disordered eating and/or body-image issues
  • Substance use/misuse and addiction
  • Excessive/compulsive spending and debt, as well as struggles with gambling
  • Sexual identity/orientation questions
  • Interpersonal issues and/or conflict and skill-building to increase effective communication and positive interactions
  • Spiritual/existential questioning or struggles, as well as finding meaning, purpose, and passion in this life,
I am here to walk with you on your path.

I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Bowen Family Systems Theory, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and have a deep understanding of the stages of change model (Transtheoretical Model) and also the Kübler-Ross model of grief and loss, as well as mindfulness training and the practices of meditation/yoga.

Through reflection, compassion, vulnerability, humor, and joy, my hope is that you will find comfort in honoring your inner strength, voice, and heart, and thus gain more synchronicity in your world.

I am excited to navigate this healing journey with you and will meet you where you are, the whole way.
